Choosing a cordless vacuum cleaner

Wireless cleaners are very popular because of their convenience. The fact that they have unlimited range within the home, without having to plug them in, makes using a wireless vacuum cleaner very easy to use. However, there are also some limitations for cordless vacuums that should be considered before using them for a particular household cleaning task.

Some consumers make the mistake of thinking that a cordless vacuum cleaner can be used as a total replacement for a standard vacuum. Actually, a cordless hand vacuum is actually a more suitable replacement for a broom or light duty bar vacuum. They can be used very successfully, as long as people are realistic in their expectations about the power of a cordless vacuum.

Although the cleaning power of  dusting vacuum cordless from model to model, as a general rule they are not as powerful as a pluggable vacuum. As a general rule, the battery in a cordless vacuum cleaner will only work effectively and be properly charged for a few years. Once the battery has passed its useful life, most people choose to replace the cordless vacuum instead of buying a new battery, due to expense.

One thing to note is that the most powerful models of wireless cleaners often have a shorter amount of time that they can run before needing to be recharged. This is generally not a negative feature, because you can sweep much faster with a powerful model and do more in less time. In fact, some models use thicker filters in a vacuum to try to provide a longer period of use before it needs to be recharged. Unfortunately, a coarse filter can backfire, as it can release fine dust into the air when using the cordless vacuum.
